April Recap: Club Nights, Set Times and the Road to the Forest

April: warming up before the forest

April was a month of movement for Danza Futura.

With the festival getting closer, the project continued to grow beyond the forest through two important presentation nights in Madrid and Amsterdam. These events were not just isolated club dates. They became part of the build-up: spaces where the sound, the community and the energy of Danza Futura could start circulating before June.

After months of lineup announcements, the feeling around the festival began to shift. The 2026 edition stopped being something distant and started to feel physically closer. Dancefloors were already moving, communities were already connecting, and the road to the forest was becoming more visible with every stop.

April also brought one of the most anticipated updates of the year: the official Danza Futura 2026 set times. With the full running order now revealed, the shape of the weekend is finally here.

Madrid and Amsterdam: two strong scenes, one growing journey

The presentation events in Madrid and Amsterdam showed how Danza Futura is expanding its presence before returning to Viana do Castelo.

Both cities brought something different, but they shared the same feeling: the sense that the festival is growing naturally through real club experiences, strong local scenes and a community that keeps building around the project.

Madrid offered a direct, physical and intense club connection. In a city with one of the most active electronic music scenes in Spain, the presentation became a powerful way to bring the Danza Futura atmosphere into an urban context. The night worked as a meeting point between people already connected to the festival and new audiences discovering the project for the first time.

Amsterdam, on the other hand, opened another layer. Together with Lanna Festival, the event placed Danza Futura in conversation with one of Europe’s most relevant underground circuits. The city brought an international dimension to the pre-festival journey, connecting the project with a scene where techno culture is deeply rooted and constantly evolving.

More than simply presenting names from the lineup, these nights helped test and expand the emotional side of the festival: the expectation, the sound, the crowd response and the feeling of belonging before the main gathering.

Highlights from the road

One of the strongest aspects of these presentation nights was the way they translated the Danza Futura identity into different club environments.

In Madrid, the energy was direct and close to the dancefloor. Artists such as Gigi FM, Oxygeno, Rosati, Exubia and PBL helped create a night that felt connected to the physical side of techno: rhythm, movement and collective intensity.

In Amsterdam, the collaboration with Lanna Festival created one of the most distinctive moments of the pre-festival journey. The opportunity to experience Reeko and Architectural in the same event brought two different artistic concepts from one of the most respected figures in the European techno scene.

Alongside this, artists such as Orbe (Live) and Psyk (Live) added a strong live dimension to the programme, while Elisa Batti, Hermetica, Mangles, Maria Cue, PBL and Paramos helped expand the connection between Danza Futura, Lanna Festival and the wider underground community.

These experiences are becoming increasingly productive for the project. They are helping Danza Futura reach new audiences, strengthen relationships with other scenes and build momentum in a way that feels organic. Instead of waiting for the festival weekend to arrive, the energy is already being activated city by city.

Madrid and Amsterdam made that clear: the countdown has started, but the journey is already happening.

The 2026 set times are here

Alongside the presentation events, April also brought the full announcement of the Danza Futura 2026 set times. The schedule reveals two long journeys through the festival’s sound, beginning on Friday 12 June and continuing across Saturday 13 June into Sunday daylight. This year, Saturday starts later and also finishes later, creating a different rhythm for the second day. The weekend now has a clearer progression: Friday opens the portal, Saturday stretches deeper into the morning, and the final hours are shaped for daylight, vinyl and forest energy.

Friday 12 June: opening the weekend

Friday begins at 17:00 with Amulador, setting the first tone of the weekend before Tauceti steps in at 19:00. Tauceti joins the programme as one of the latest additions to the lineup, adding a fresh layer to the opening day.

As night starts to fall, Claudio PRC takes over at 21:00, bringing depth and precision before Border One (Live) leads the programme into its first live performance of the night at 23:00.

From midnight, the energy moves into a stronger late-night sequence with PBL at 00:00 and Ignez (Live) at 02:00. The early morning then opens into one of Friday’s strongest stretches, with Adriana Lopez at 03:00, Civic Instruction (Live) at 05:00 and Setaoc Mass at 06:30.

The first day closes with Blasha & Allatt at 08:30, carrying the energy into the morning and completing the opening chapter of Danza Futura 2026.

Saturday 13 June: later start, longer journey

Saturday begins later this year, opening at 18:30 with Vera Grace (Modular Live). It is a strong way to start the second day: live, detailed and connected to the more experimental side of the festival.

At 19:30, Polygonia continues the evening with her deep and organic approach to sound, before Paramos takes over at 21:30. From there, Oxygeno leads the night forward at 23:30, setting the tone before the programme moves into its most intense hours.

The late-night section begins with ASEC (Live) at 01:30, followed by one of the key moments of the weekend: Oscar Mulero at 02:30. His presence marks a central point in Saturday’s journey, bringing one of the most respected figures in techno into the forest.

After that, the intensity continues with Kerrie (Live) at 04:30 and Abstract Division at 06:00. The morning then opens into a special meeting between two powerful Portuguese references: Nørbak vs Temudo at 08:00.

The final part of the festival moves into daylight with Gigi FM at 10:00, before Phara closes at 12:00. After one of the standout sets from last year’s edition, Phara returns to close the festival with a vinyl set, bringing the weekend to an end with a special kind of energy.

The road is already alive

April helped connect several important parts of Danza Futura 2026. Madrid and Amsterdam showed that the festival is growing beyond its main weekend, creating real moments of connection in two powerful electronic music scenes. These club experiences are helping the project warm up properly before returning to the forest, not only through promotion, but through atmosphere, movement and shared energy. At the same time, the set times announcement gave the 2026 edition its final shape. The artists, the days, the hours and the flow of the weekend are now visible. The forest is getting closer. The community is already moving. And Danza Futura 2026 is no longer just approaching — it has already started.
